Brazil is a well-known travel destination for many vacationers wishing to see a different sort of culture and enjoy unspoiled tropical beaches such as Copacabana or Ipanema. The best time to visit Brazil is between December and February, because in this period is summer there and the beach resorts are really gorgeous! If you want to be in the country for the carnival from Rio de Janeiro you'll need to travel to Brazil in the end of February.
If you enjoy the beach life, Brazil is certainly for you. A traveler can spend days on the beach in vacation resorts such as Rio de Janeiro. This resort is considered to be the best tourist area from the country and its beaches are world-renowned. Recife and Salvador da Bahia are worth a visit too. Sao Paolo and Brasilia are other resorts which attracts vacationers.
Beach culture is prevalent almost everywhere in Brazil and nowhere is bigger or more impressive than in Rio de Janeiro. The beach resorts from Brazil are a scene for fashion and trend setting. Even during the winter the Cariocas, as the locals are known, frequent the promenade.
At the foothills of Rio de Janeiro is one of the world's best known beaches, Copacabana, where is a non-stop party atmosphere. Beach partying is a ritual for the young and old alike. With a plenty of bars and nightclubs, the beach is always visited, day or night. Copacabana stretches from Princesa Isabel Avenue to the lifeguard watchtower six, called Posto Seis, near the Forte de Copacaban.
In the southern part of Rio de Janeiro, lying adjacent to Copacabana, is the district Ipanema. The beach resort at Ipanema is lined with world class restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping malls. Ipanema is also one of the most expensive areas in Rio and the symbol of Brazilian life-style.
Two hills, known as the "Two Brothers", are situated at the western end of the beach. The resort is also marked into segments with points known as postos. There are always locals and tourists playing football or volleyball and enjoying water sports such as swimming or surfing.
