Rio de Janeiro is probably the best known vacation spot in Brazil, first at all because of the gorgeous beaches from there (like Copacabana and Ipanema), great accommodation offered by luxury resorts, and other tourist attractions like the Corcovado Hill and the Sugar Loaf Mountain. Actually, the number of attractions in Rio is truly huge, so just a couple of vacation days spent there aren't enough to see the treasures of the city.
Rio is also renowned for the carnival held every year at the end of February, when the entire activity of the city is stopped and all hotels are 100% occupied by millions of holiday makers! This carnival is so renowned that the most TV stations in the world are mentioning in their news about it!
