Hello All.
I am looking for tips on must see places to visit in BC. There are 3 of us women (30's) spending 2 weeks in vancouver 8 - 22 Sept this year. We are going to spend some time in hostels and hire a car in the first week with a couple of nights spent in a fancy hotel. The 2nd week we will hire a campervan. We are on a budget and know that we want to spend time on Vancouver island and do some kayaking. Thats all we know for know so would appreciate some tips on where to visit.
Thanks.

For kayaking near Vancouver, head to Deep Cove in North Vancouver. Deep Cove Canoe & Kayak does rentals and they also offer guided tours/courses if that's your thing. There are even some paddle-in campgrounds in the area if you want to get really adventurous.
Taking a walk around the Stanley Park seawall is always a nice way to spend a day. The Aquarium is quite expensive, but it's an excellent rainy day option. Granville Island is another nice spot to visit and wander through the markets. The drive up to Whistler is always worth doing. There's really quite a variety of things to do/see around Vancouver. It just depends where your interests lie.
On Vancouver Island, you must check out Tofino and Ucluelet on the west coast of the island. There's whale watching and plenty of kayaking opportunities available. It's also a gorgeous drive across the island with a pit stop at Cathedral Grove to see the giant fir trees.
