Hi,
Any suggestions for a circular 2-week touring (by private car) route through southern Sweden in August please? Starting in Malmö, heading for Stockholm (with a visit across to Helsinki) and then back to Malmö.
Main interests are "sightseeing" - a broad catch-all term to cover soaking up the atmosphere, see places firsthand, experience local culture. Not hikers/bikers but not averse to some good day-walks.
Travelling by private car and looking to stay in local hotels/guesthouses, not camping.
Many thanks in advance!

Hi,
You should make a stop in Gränna, It's situated about halfway to Stockholm. It's a small old town where you can visit all candy cane shops.
A tour with the ferry to the Visingsö island it's a popular tip amoung tourists.

Hi.
I would recommend Uppsala. You can visit that city in a one-day excursion from Stockholm. It is the ancient capital and it has an university. It´s a very good choice!
