Hey everyone,

Last week I added a new system that allows me to post articles to the site. For now, I've transferred the articles that various members contributed about 5 years ago around areas to stay in different cities around the world.

The articles are great, eg this fantastic guide on the best areas to stay in Paris by Beausoleil.

However, what I'd like to do is allow some commenting on these articles so people can suggest improvements or add their own notes. Rather than make another commenting system for that, I think it makes a lot more sense to link each of the articles to a forum discussion. The forum discussion then adds a lot of extra context to the article which I think improves its value to people visiting the site as well as highlighting these articles in the forum where they might be missed otherwise.

This is a little different to the usual kind of forum discussion because no one is really asking the question. I don't want to flood the forum with this kind of discussion, but I think it can still be a good addition. People do often end up on our forum looking for answers to their questions and this somewhat pre-empts that.

I'll start by adding one or two discussions like this per week to the forum so it's not just a giant flood of them. It's also something of a test to see how well they work.

If you have any thoughts on whether this is a good idea or not, I'm happy to hear them :)

Sounds like a good idea except for figuring out what changes Covid made to tourist infrastructure. Since it is less than 5 years ago
