Had anyone travelled central and south america without being fully vacinated? What was the set up for PCR tests and were they expensive?

Covid vacination
From your previous posts I assume you are a UK citizen. I also assume you are unvaccinated.
You can find regularly-updated entry requirements, Covid regulations and health advice for all countries on the official UK website.

Most S American countries still require an unvaccinated person to show proof of a negative PCR test on entry though some countries will accept an antigen test instead of a PCR.
Where you can get a PCR or antigen test...and how much it will cost....is obviously going to vary not only by country but also by test provider and when the test was taken. The FCO website above has links to English-speaking health care providers in most S American countries and test providers in some e.g. Uruguay.
Note that entry requirements, like Covid regulations, can and do change quickly.
Note also that the FCO advises against all but essential travel to Venuzuela. If you are a UK citizen, decide to ignore that advice and enter Venuzuela (or any other country where the FCO has advised against all or all but essential travel) your travel & health insurance will automatically become invalid.

Also, think about what you'd do in some counties if you caught Covid and were badly affected. Standards of healthcare and available treatments vary in different countries around the world and unvaccinated likely means more likely to catch it and more likely to suffer badly.
If you caught Covid I suspect getting on a plane home would not be possible.
It may be a consideration about which countries you chose to visit (in the same way that entry rules could affect the decision).

I agree with Ian, and I'd suggest it's still a bad idea to travel without being vaccinated.

The FCO pages are a good source of up-to-date info about health care, Covid prevalence and medical treatment in each country.

Even if it were possible to fly imo it would be totally immoral to do so if you know you're infected with Covid (masked or not).
