What was your best trip/vacation in 2018? My was visit to NYC, loved every bit of it.
Looking for some ideas for 2019. Any tips
Year in Photos
We did two trips to the UK in 2018 and since I see you are from the UK, I won't suggest this to you. Of all time favorite trips, I'd choose the Dordogne region of France although if you like cities, this probably isn't going to help you either. If you have any interest in prehistory, spectacular scenery and fantastic food and wine, though, you might look into a visit to the Dordogne.
Whatever you choose, have a great 2019. Your Year in Photos is wonderful. Great idea.
Hawaii!!! Just don't do Honolulu. Changed for the worst since I was last there. Maui is a better island. Bigger island with fewer people. I'm possibly going to Kauai this November for variety. Another nice island with a lot to see with fewer people.
My best holiday in 2108 was in the Umbria region (IT). I[sub] visited Perugia, Assisi and some other nice places.[/sub
I choose Perugia and Assisi as bases to explore some nice places in that region.
A trip to Belgium was a memorable journey. Grand Plas and Atomium were a photographers delight

2018 I finally got round to seeing some Pacific Islands. We did two trips in French Polynesia, island hopping the Society and a cruise around the Marquesas. We had a week in Rappa Nui and another in the Cook Islands. All in all it was a great trip and very different from my previous trips. It was logistically challenging and I have never done a trip where I had to pre book so much
but in the end totally worth it

Kauai is great👍, it is very different to the rest of Hawaii, it feels more village like and rural. I hope you get there this year it will make a good trip.
Petra, Jordan in April was magical but even that was eclipsed by Russia for the World Cup semi-final (France v Belgium) and then the Baltic states ending in the Ukraine (Kiev and Chernobyl) in July. It's going to be very dufficult for me to top 2018.
My highlight of 2018 was visiting Botswana, especially the Okavango Delta - somewhere I have wanted to go for years!
My best visit of 2018 was my visit to London. Was my first time of ever leaving my country. Looking forward to more travel experiences in this 2019
