Hello all,
I'm hoping you can help me understand what I need to do.
I would like to travel to the USA for holidays and also my employer in the UK has an office in the USA where I'm likely to need to go for meetings, training, and conferences occasionally.
I believe this qualifies for the ESTA.
Adding complication I received a drug related community resolution a little over a year ago.
I'd ordered via facebook a natural remedy for brain fog and anxiety.
I'm in my late 30's and have always been quite healthy but in quick succession I'd had covid, pneumonia, then viral menigitis and just wasn't myself.
The facebook page and site are all very profesional with lots of positive comments and reviews from people in the UK.
The order turned out to contain micro doses of psilocybin and was picked up and destroyed by UK customs.
A few months later a police officer came knocking to talk about it and offered me a simple community resolution with no further action or requirements - which given the very scary sounding alternatives seemed like the right move. He did say at the time this was not a criminal conviction and would not have any impact on my ability to travel to the USA.
Can I still answer "No" to the "Have you ever violated any law related to possessing, using, or distributing illegal drugs?" question on the ESTA form?
This may be me just over worrying as "no" is literally correct but it would put my mind at rest to hear from others.
Thanks
