I have been using this blog site for many years and have never encountered this problem. When I publish a blog post - and it has happening in both posts I have done this trip - I discover that a few words have been changed and are incorrect, though they were correct in my draft when I published it. And editing the post - deleting the word and typing in the correct word again, makes no difference. The word remains incorrect when I publish it. I also tried to use a Spanish term which was fine in my saved draft but when I published it, the word was changed to the English word.
Errors that Persist in Blog
Can you give a link to the specific published blog post, as well as the original words and what they're being changed to? That way we can see if we see the same happening, which will tell a lot about possible causes.
Theoretically this could be the effect of some external advertising script - but you're a supporter, so that shouldn't be it (but if it is, that's something Peter will want to fix - we had a similar case a month ago where a link was put in around the word "hotel"). It could also be something caused by a browser extension you're using (your final example sounds a lot like a 'helpful' translation feature from your browser), or even by malware which you've been infected with (though I really hope not!)
I know Peter has been working on a new version of the blog editor. That shouldn't have any effects yet, particularly none like this - but it might be that a testcase somewhere went awry and caused changes beyond what was intended?

Nothing changed on my end that would have caused this really. The only thing I touched last week was to actually reduce the number of ads showing on blogs. Nothing to do with the content.
An example would be very helpful - eg.. a link to the blog post and the specific word that is being changed. A browser extension interfering does seem the most likely.

First blog post: In the last sentence, I had used the word “split” instead of “had” which I eventually changed it, as the published version substituted a nonsense word for “split”.
“We had consolation lunch near the harbor at a favorite place, La Canasta Pandería, a chain bakery cafe that makes the best sandwiches ever. We had the yummy Club that comes with little potatoes.”
Second blog post: In the last sentence, I used “Una problema” which the published version kept changing to “A problem”. I thought that this was an automatic correction back to English from Spanish, but I have in the past had no problem using words of another language in my blogs.
“Our mission was to go to the bus station to ask about tickets to Tarifa. To our disappointment, while there are 4 buses a day there, that particular bus line, Avanza, the only one going to Tarifa, will not accept bikes. We took buses with our bikes last year with no issues. They just had to be wrapped and while we used garden refuse bags and tape last year, we came prepared this time - with single bed plastic bags from U-Haul. Back to the nearby train station - no trains to Tarifa from Malaga. Back to the bus station to check with the Alsa bus line, the one we used last year. No, they don't go to Tarifa. A problem!”

Do you still see that changed to "A problem"? Because then we can at least be certain it's not the travellerspoint back-end doing this, but either something in your browser, or something in JavaScript.
Which browser are you using? If you have access to another device, or have another browser installed on your device, does it also happen in there?
Could you change the sentence with "split" turning into a nonsense word back to "split", report what the nonsense word is, and leave it like that for a day so we can have a look?

Make sure you are not viewing your page in Chrome or another browser with automatic translation from Spanish to English.
Ah, I am using Chrome so perhaps that is what happened to me Spanish words. I will try using another browser. Will let you know if I have any more problems.
