Hi All,

I plan on travelling over to New Zealand sometime Feb or March 2013 as a working 1 year holiday, and I am just looking for any information/tips for work or hostels from people that have done it before or are currently doing it now, also currently I am alone at doing this so if anyone has the same idea as me around the same time be sure to get in touch.

I went to NZ on a one year working holiday visa and ended up staying for over 5 years! What kind of information are you looking for specifically? The main job website is Seek but also try TradeMe and Backpackerboard for seasonal and casual jobs.

Where are you looking to base yourself whilst you're there? This thread has some useful info about where to stay in Auckland.

Hi, I'll be going to NZ with WHV in March aswell and am planing to stay for a year. I'll probably start in Wellington. I 'l be traveling solo so it would be great to talk to someone before I arrive.
