There are early people and late people. That's life and it's okay. If we were all alike, it would be incredibly boring. Fortunately, my husband and I (and all our adult kids) are early people so we always arrive everyplace early. It's convenient for us although we often have to sit outside in our car waiting to go in when invited out by friends who never do anything on time. That's okay too. Their house; their rules. We have been stuck behind traffic accidents on the way to the airport and still arrived early. Spending time in most airports is not difficult. There are shops, restaurants, lots of seating, internet access and we always have a book to read.
You be you and let them be them and we're all fine.

IT's good if early people are married to other early people and not married to a late person. Bob and I are early people. My mom wasn't an early person. It was a relief after I grew up to be married to an early person.
But I have to disagree about airports. Mostly because I am stuck in a wheelchair and can't get to the bathroom or even to get a drink of water (unless I bring an empty bottle and fill it after I go through security). I can't shop. I do bring something to read, but unless my companion also has a book (which if it is my husband will not be the case) it seems antisocial.

I don't consider myself antisocial when I read a book in an airport. If my companion, usually my husband, doesn't want to read or walk around the airport, he can always talk to me or even sit quietly and enjoy the show. He usually reads too so it's not a problem. He reads; he walks; he reads. On occasion he even sleeps. If I chattered at him the whole time, it would drive him crazy.

I am ok with it if if is my husband. We've been together a long time so we don't have to talk. But if I am traveling with someone else I feel more pressure to not just read.
