For the past couple of days my notification dropdown has been blank though notifications from threads I'm involved in do show up as normal on the right of the main travel forum page.

And lo! I post about no dropdown notices and they suddenly return!

The site's running a bit slow today (maybe yesterday too, can't remember) e.g. opening threads, replies showing as posted, getting into edit mode) so perhaps the two things are/were linked?
