due to the astounding number of diverse attractions available in italy i can't think of a bad time to go
Italy-when to visit?
What about coming in Italy in october? I spent some days at the lake Garda in october, last year. It seemed to be in summer...really!
Hi
Personally I don't think there is any bad time to visit Italy. There is always history and normal tourist type stuff to see and do.
You choose the month for any specific things you want to do. If you want winter sports choose the month and location best for this. If you want swimming and diving choose the best month for what you want to do.
There is always something to do, especially if you are interested in history.
- *My first introduction to Italy was being stationed in Southern Italy for 2 years when I was in the military. Loved every minute of it! (This first visit overseas was a looong time ago when I was fresh out of high school.) Over the decades I have been back to Italy several times. Along with visiting or living in many other countries.)

Up to you!
Hey Padme! Thanks for the tips on when to visit Italy. I've been considering a trip, and your insight about the summer being less crowded and sometimes better priced is really helpful. I'll definitely keep central Italy in mind for nicer weather during the winter and late fall. Appreciate the advice! 😊🇮🇹 #ItalyTravel #TravelTips
noah mill, I'd suggest reading the whole trip. Because it really is not true that summer is cheaper and less crowded. Rather the opposite is the case.
Bot for sure, it is your decision.
Actually the TV this morning said bookings are down a large percent for the time that the Olympics are going on in Paris. So this year -July 26-August 11 might be a good time to go
