Hi there
I’m a little concerned as I travel to Spain next week
This is my third trip and happy to return
I spent 10 days in July and 10 days in September
In July my passport was stamped on entry/exit
But in September it was only stamped on entry not exit
I used the e-gates on each occasion
Will Spainish authorities frown on no stamp when I exited on my last trip
Any help or advice please
Passport stamp
Good Evening
Please make sure that when you get your Passport stamped going into Spain via Gibraltar or Malaga Airports that you get your Passport stamped again on the way out going to your home country. A lady flying in to Gibraltar Airportrecently was refused entry to Spain She spent the summer in Spain and got an Entry Stamp but not an Exit Stamp. She had to fly back to UK as the Spanish Authorities stated that she had exceeded her 90 days in Spain. So beware of getting both Stamps in your Passport until the System changes sometime next year when electronic scanning of Passports begins and no Passport Stamp will be required.
Hope this helps answering you question
David
I could never get the Spanish side to stamp my passport at the Gibraltar border. They told me that they did not even have one. Spain still thinks (some folks) that Gibraltar is still part of Spain hundreds of years later. The airports and other land borders are, as above.
All the best,
DAO
