I joined travellerspoint because I want to do a road trip from the US East Coast to the West Coast and I am looking for company. Dates somewhere around half july to half august 2024. Looking for open minded people, well traveled, interesting opinions, enjoying lengthy philosophical conversations or political discussions. Long silences shouldn't be awkward. Itinerary and other plans yet to be made. I need to be around San Fransisco by half of august. I prefer a car&tent and not an RV. And of course hotels and motels, and interesting mix of adventure and comfort.
I have traveled off the beaten track or years, working here and there (paid or as a volunteer) and bought a sailboat some years ago. I prefer to avoid crowded places, so I enjoy the great outdoors, camp fires, hiking, skiiing, but just as well you could find me in a trendy boutique hotel, enjoying the spa, a gastronomical dinner and an art gallery or museum. I've been around so I don't need to see the pyramids, taj mahal, statue of liberty if you know what I mean.
