My husband turns 50 in August, he would love to climb Kilimanjaro, so as a gift I'm considering it and doing my homework first!
We are travelling from Ireland and looking for any info on the best travel route or any tips.
I am hoping to travel as a Family, my husband, 2 kids (12 & 10) and I.
I'll leave my list of questions below, if anybody has any insight I would be very grateful!
1.) I am looking at booking the climb with a company named Earths Edge.
Does anybody have any feedback or recommendations?
2.) After the climb we hope to carry on the holiday as a Family.
I'm not sure what to do here.
Do we all travel over as a Family, myself and the kids do our own thing and meet my Husband afterwards?
Or should we fly over towards the end of his climb and carry on the holiday then.
I'm not sure how I feel about being on my own with the kids. Is it safe enough? Has anybody done something similar?
3.) Can anybody recommend Family friendly accommodation? Including safari?
4.) I would love to hear of any Family related experiences you might have and the best way to spend 4-5 days together.
