Where would you live?
Where would you travel?
Where would you own property?
What would you buy to fill those properties?
What would you drive or be driven around in?
How would you get around?
What cars would you have registered where?
Is there any services you wish to give to the world if money wasn't an object?
Is there anything else you'd want to gift?
What would you do, if money wasn't an object?

Me, I'd retain this place in Thornton Heath, have it fixed up by the same people who do work for Downing Street, and have my own little compound of a terraced house in Thornton Heath.
I can also see myself having a place in Mayfair as well, in this scenario, a nice place, like one of those mansions in Mayfair.
There was this cool looking mansion I wanted near me in South London in Upper Norwood too, but it came with a space ship.
https://www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/news/12931346.going-cheap-gothic-11-bedroom-mansion-with-childs-spaceship-in-the-attic-knocks-250k-off-its-325m-price-tag/
So I'd lose the space ship if I got the property.

I'd buy a holiday home in Springfield, OR, USA as close to the Main Street in the old part of town as I could get there, and have it rebuilt so it's fixed up and built to look the same, but to an upgraded personal spec'. The last time I went browsing online for this fantasy, I found a nice place with another place above the garage; I wanted it and I wanted to turn that extra place above the garage, into a grotto of sorts, with indoor Whirlpool Jucazzi plummed in; and it already had a kitchen, I wanted to upgrade the faucet for maybe a beer tap as well, and I wanted a subscription to the brewery for my favourite beer, so it'll always have cold beer on tap; as well as a water cooler (and subscription to a water service), as well...
For ice... I wanted one of those modern smart Coca-Cola soda fountains with the touch screen menu that also dispensed ice, I figured, with all that heat and beer options, may as well provide clean drinking water that's on tap but not tap water that's also cold, and for ice; I'd subscribe to the company company to get every sugar cube cartridge soft drink I can think of; have have my spa bar, in Oregon, and I'll not care it the neighbours where salt of the Earth good honest people, I'd move to the neighbourhood and make myself a holiday home/vacation property to use there - I also wanted to have central heating installed and; hot water boiler for on demand hot water like I have in England (which meant also taking out a little old fire place above the garage and being able to fit in that cool soda fountain I want); and I'd have all the floors reinforced if needed and make it all sturdy.
It had a decent size garage to, I wanted a comfortable looking 1980's American station wagon for errands and shopping, day to day stuff registered to this home in Oregon with hopefully being able to get period correct plates if it's bought out of state and moved/shipped to Oregon just so I can drive around when I use it and look like a local and have the title in my name registered at my property I'd want and blend in, driving on a UK/international driver's license as it won't be my domicile.
That, and for fun, I wanted a 2021 Lime Green Dodge Demon, brand new and registered there, with Oregon plates, I even found a product for this car that I liked the look of that tastefully clips a front license plate on to that car's front bumper in the middle without ruining the bumper, and that would be needed for the local plates I'd want on that vehicle.
I'd furnish this place with a couple of these $10,000.00 TVs I saw from Best Buy, and some real nice guitars I found for sale in Norman's Rare Guitars in Los Angeles (some high end Gibson Les Pauls) and they'd have all the after market parts I like on these guitars on; I'd have one or two guitar amps (Marshall stacks) that I'd have (A Slash one I saw for sale and another model like the Slash one more factory, a Silver Jubilee); a custom fitted couch, 2 high end laptops that I could walk around with and HDMI them into a TV and a couple of games consoles to retain access to all my subscription services in the house and that'll be it, my holiday home in Springfield, OR, USA.
I'd also have cable TV.
I could go out shopping everyday, and use the house to ship stuff I buy back to England; and there'd be suitcases everywhere because it will be my holiday home, I'd just live out my suitcases and pack empty ones with things I buy that I'd want to take back with me instead of ship back to the UK.
So, fast food basically, nice guitars, nice TVs and laptops, a bunch of shopping and cases, my cats, nice rides, and a grotto; not bad for a holiday home in Springfield.
I'd fly in and out of Eugene to use it too.

There was also a car and a place or two I wanted to have in NYC, NY, and even one place I found and loved and had other plans for.

I can't imagine being based in the US and not having a mansion in Los Angeles somewhere be it Malibu by the beach or even in the Hollywood Hills.

I wanted to buy this private island
https://www.privateislandsonline.com/south-pacific/frenchpolynesia/motu-moie

in Tahiti basically, (French Polynesia) and, for my own amusement, I wanted to have a 2018 Rolls Royce Phantom shipped to my island in Tahiti that's only accessible by kayak, and drive it around even though it's so small. I'd probably have it registered in England with GB stickers because it'll be in French Polynesia, also, this 2018 Rolls Royce phantom'll be UK spec (MPH on the dash', RHD).
The island already has a staff to maintain and infrastructure and guest houses, but, I just wanted it because... It's in Tahiti basically and looked perfect.
I wanted to maybe upgrade any infrastructure and get propane plumbed in to cook with in the all kitchens there and even gasoline (for my car); stick a UK petrol pump or local French Polynesian one somewhere on this atoll of an island and subscribe to some petroleum company for my gasoline and have my pump for my car refilled. I'd have fast WiFi, satellite TV, electricity if it's not got that and if it had no plumbing of sorts, that; gotta have plumbing; just make sure the toilets are western style and buy them and have them installed myself if I have to.
I can also see myself subscribing to a brewery for this just for a bunch of cocktails and if there isn't a bar I'd have a bar built (not sure if it has a bar, but if I owned it, it'll have a bar).

I'd probably travel the world with house cats... Be it here at home or wherever, they'd be with me and have any and all paper work needed for that to happen. As for taking the cats to the private island, I figure they can't run away because it's an island, and would take them everywhere with me.

What about you?

If money wasn't an object, to me, but the world was the same, but if I were a person with a vast personal fortune where it really wasn't an object, to me.

If you were vastly wealthy, and could see your wildest dreams come to fruition, what would they be?

Only five airlines operate from the Eugene Airport and provide flights to 12 destinations: San Francisco, San Diego, Denver, Portland (OR), Seattle - Tacoma, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Phoenix-Mesa, Phoenix - Sky Harbor, Salt Lake City, San Jose (seasonal).
https://www.eugene-airport.com/#:~:text=Only%20five%20airlines%20operate%20from,%2C%20San%20Jose%20(seasonal). (< ERROR: the link title is too long!)

I'd invest into Lane County, Oregon.

I'd have my holiday home Springfield there from my OP.

I'd have an organisation in Lane County that'll gift in a very philanthropic manner, an expansion of Eugene's airport Mahlon Sweet Field (EUG).
This is a publicly owned airport, so what better way to do this/get this done than become a member of the public opening in the private sector in Lane County at this airport. My organisation would be an airline, it'll have an office at this airport if not somewhere in Eugene.
It'll be Eugene's/Oregon's airline and Eugene (EUG)'d my airline's hub, if money wasn't an object.

I'd apply to Washington (DC) for a new border at EUG to make it an entry point into the United States in this gift to Lane County expanding this publicly owned airport by putting customs and immigration there too.

My airline will price competitively subsidised by the bank of me if money was no object to me and I was the richest person whom ever lived perhaps.. To make my airline compete with established competition going all their economically viable routes, however, I'd and have some fun with my routes maybe.

I'd connect by direct flight random places, and maybe have a conglomerate of airlines pulling resources the world over, one in Oregon, on in London/UK, another one here, another one there; with a mission to get otherwise unconnected places connect with direct flights every day.

As for Eugene, I'd gift the world to Eugene, and I'd give the world the gift of Eugene.

Tired of life in London or Riyadh or Tokyo, Melbourne or Rio?.. You can always escape to Oregon.
That'll be an advert for my airline perhaps?

I'd have direct flights EUG to

Europe:
London (LHR)
Teeside (MME)
Southampton (SOU)
Edinburgh (EDI)
Cardiff (CWL)
Gibraltar (GIB)
Paris (CDG)
Nice (NCE)

Africa:
Marrakesh (RAK)

I'd also run domestic flights too for connections through EUG and to connect EUG to the US more.
I'd have domestic direct flights EUG to;

Boston (BOS)
New York City (JFK)
Newark (EWR)
Philadelphia (PHL)
Washington (IAD)
Charlotte (CLT)
Austin (AUS)
New Orleans (MSY)
Orlando (MCO)
Miami (MIA)
Detroit (DTW)
Chicago (ORD)
Honolulu (HNL)

Needless to say, I'd make Eugene (EUG) a busier airport better connected to the world and my jets would be a familiar sight in the skies of Eugene and the airport would be full of my jets and I hope people from all over the world, can enjoy Oregon's Lane County.
I would want to do nothing but transplant more international tourists from all over and turn it into a world city, a bit.
It'll also, by the looks of it, turn Eugene (EUG) into a hub for Europe.
If it was recognised as a hub for Europe, I'd add more destinations; Manchester (MAN), Liverpool (LPL), Swansea (SWS), Glasgow (GLA), Belfast (BFS), Dublin (DUB) and Riga (RIX).

I think Eugene would love a bigger airport.

Meh. By building an airport hub you're just doing climate damage.

With unlimited wealth you could do something useful.

Fund renewables to hasten the change to clean energy.
Solar farms at airports powering hydrogen cracking, to use liquid hydrogen as aircraft fuel.
Fund hypersonics so we're travelling to the antipodes in a couple of hours.
That same development money will give us spaceplanes (see Reaction Engines Ltd LAPCAT) so we'll have orbital stations sooner. Once we reach for the asteroid belt we can really tool up to be a civilization with an abundance of resources.

That's just one route, that benefits travel.
Alternatively, apply Elon Musk's "alien dreadnought" factory concept to churning out passive houses in volume.

I think Eugene would love a bigger airport.

Not necessarily. Sydney got approval for a second airport but it was very controversial. People worried about pollution, increased traffic, noise, the complete overall of infrastructure, decrease housing value because of all these issues. Even our first airport has many complaints from locals and it has been around for years Airports are not universally loved.

I'm thinking an increase in housing prices for Eugene and Springfield because of the airport expansion being a gateway to the world.
Plus I'd hope for tourism and investment to increase, but not so much as for the area to lose its charm, but just enough to see tourists from the world over not be out of place.

Generally people don't want to live under flight paths, they are noisy, and the vibrations tend to degrade the buildings. As for tourism build it and they will come doesn't actually work in the real world. There has to be a reason to visit Eugene, people are not going to fly to that part of the world for no reason. Just check out all the empty airports in Spain, some never even used once. Anyway from my brief Google it seems Eugene is a bit of a nature getaway, not sure you would want to spoil the selling point with increased air pollution and again noise scaring all the animals deep into the forest;).

>an increase in housing prices for Eugene and Springfield

Not sure why you think that would be a) a good thing or b) welcomed by the people of Eugene ?

Your fantasies aren't in the least bit environmentally-friendly. That's not good. Even if my unlimited funds were restricted to spending on tourism and travel I'd want to make the world a better place, not a worse one. :-/
