We know that with the car. But do to health problems we need a car and a wheelchair.
Ah that makes sense. Ignore my Staffa suggestion then, the giant's causeway will be much more wheelchair accessible.
Yes London Underground is wheelchair friendly.

I think the Alhambra with a wheelchair might be quite a challenge... Yeah, some quick searches suggest that 10-30% of the Alhambra will be effectively inaccessible.
I hope greatgrandmaR will look in - she's likely to have practical tips from personal experience on physical accessibility.

I wonder how Pompeii handle wheelchair access. My recollections are of difficult roadways with big blocks as pedestrian steps which would block access, and steps up to the villas.
I wonder if there is a wheelchair route?

There is.
Here's the official Pompeii accessibility info (in English):
https://pompeiisites.org/en/visiting-info/pompeii-for-all/
And this is a really useful site with accessibility info about Pompeii and the Alhambra:

Something to take in consideration..Are you taking your own car or renting on the way?
If own, then make sure you are having a good winter tires! Your travelling partners bucket list has a Northern lights and those are not visible during the summer. So you will be in Finland/Norway during the winter and the road conditions are icy.
Also they are more likely to be seen on the North/Lappland, which makes possible encounters on wild life aka. reindeers very likely.

Lots of good points in the prior posts. I'll just offer up this website that was founded by a wheelchair user specifically for travelers with mobility challenges. Hopefully you'll find some useful information about navigating some of the locations on your list?

Hi.
Six months for me would be a long time away from my empty house. Will your home be vacant? Since you live in Europe, you could break your trip down a little and take a break back home for a while. Maybe catch up with relatives and friends and drop off any tourist junk you bought on the trip. Then back on the road again.
After 2 or 3 months on the road you may want to drop some places and concentrate on the most important. Check the weather available at your destinations.
Have fun on your trip!
