I saw discussion on your forums about the DTV visa. There are several travelers who have been denied entry to Thailand, or extorted for a large amount of cash at the airport because they tried to be clever and acquire the 5-year visa using an agent because they didn't qualify for it with their current finances.
Please, do not pay these visa agents for long-term visas. They are rarely punished when things go wrong, but you can get deported or even jailed in some cases if you have a fraudulent visa in your passport.

You should only apply for the DTV Visa on the eVisa portal from the Thai government. If anyone is acquiring the DTV Visa for you in other ways, they are breaking the law and you will be the one with problems, not them.
This is the official portal: https://www.thaievisa.go.th

FYI: That was a few too many posts with links right after each other, and since you're a new member here, our automatic spam protection flagged your last post. I'm unfortunately not the responsible moderator for this subforum, so can't release your post, but when Peter or Bob comes by later, your post and thread should show up again for everyone (assuming that those last links are actually non-promotional - I haven't checked that myself).

Ah, thank you @Sander
It was just links to two Facebook group discussions with several people who had been denied entry or had to pay a large amount of cash at the airport because of their improper DTV visa.
