It's located near a town with a name the same as a place in Australia and also in England. But that's not unique, there are a few places along this road with the same distinction, even a locality right next to the bridge.

The bridge spans a river with a name derived from an Indian heritage.

And as for 'unique', the rail junction I posted is the only one with a branch line off to that side between the subject bridge and Quebec.

1. It's Miramichi Bridge which crosses the Miramichi River in Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada. It's on the NB-8.

2. Before crossing the bridge you ate clams (presumably deep-fried) and took a photo of a 'moose trap' after crossing it.

3. The railway junction is Dalhousie Junction, about 145km/114 miles from Miramichi.

4. The locality next to the bridge is Newcastle (though I'd note that the correct name of the English towns are Newcastle-on-Tyne and Newcastle-under-Lyme). Other places in the wider general area which were named after UK cities, towns and villages include Dundee, Chatham, Dalhousie.

I became sufficiently bored to scan through your blog where I eventually found much of the information above and most of the photos.

Ray hasn't responded but as I know my answer is 100% correct I'm posting my turn on the new game thread that Andy's linked in the post above.

This is now an ex-game thread.

Fact is, I couldn't work out how to phrase my response...

Of course, you are right, I gave enough clues for you to know that. You did, however mention the clues but missed out on a couple of points... not that they really mattered.

I said towns which exist in both the UK and Australia. Just a sidelight. You missed Bathurst and Campbelltown - or actually 'Campbellton' in New Brunswick. Good that you included Chatham, that is actually the 'locality' to which I referred, but Dalhousie doesn't exist as a town in Australia so it's not right.

Newcastle is Newcastle, but if the 'upon' bit is relevant so be it. As you mentioned Dundee, which is off the main road, but near Dundee, you could also have included nearby Balmoral. The similarities in town naming had me a bit fascinated as I drove through there.
