Hi!

I am about to go to start my travelling around china, after having worked here (china) for 5 months.
But i am having a bit of a problem, cause i have planned a tour to Tibet and after that i am going to kathmandu in Nepal. In Kathmandu i am going to renew my visa (I have only half-year permit) and after that i am going to Lijiang in Yunnan, china (the only reason i am going to Kathmandu).
I am planning to get my new visa 1th or 2th of february, and then by plane to either Lijiang or Kunming.
My question to anybody with just a bit more experience than me is:
Should i book my flight ticket now, and risk that i do not have the visa, when my flight is set to take off or should i just wait until i have my visa and then go to an agency and get them to book a flight.
My third opportunity is to just book a flight the 3th of february and stay a day more in kathmandu but i really would like to go just when i have my visa, but i don't know if it is even possible to get a ticket in Kathmandu a day before or on the day....

I hope that you understand the question.

- Thanks for your help.

Never 'EVER' book a flight until you either have your visa - or something in writing to say everything's approved. There are just too many sad tales of people that have forked out hard earned cash for their trips/flights etc., just to find out that their visa has been denied.
Whether it's India or Iran, Kenya or Kathmandu, all visa applications have rules to adhere to - and sometimes, despite thinking that you're the perfect candidate, there can be a problem.
