Hi ,
I am starting my journey travelling in early September , and getting thrown in the deep end by going to Rio first !! I have been doing extensive research about safety as I will be a solo female traveller .I do consider myself to be pretty sensible with making safe choices and am very independent. However , I still feel pretty nieve to how it will really be , I am 19 , and look young for my age and don’t speak Portuguese. Many forums I read warn against visiting this city if you are like me . I’d really love to hear some first hand safety tips from any one who’s visited , and possibly some reassurance I’m not crazy for doing this too !
