I am wondering if it would be interesting to allow a page for author's to make an article about themselves. Give some background information on themselves and see more of the human side of some of the more active writers. Kind like the interview a traveller but in wiki format. Thoughts?

I like the idea of providing a bit more space for authors to share a bit more about themselves, but personally I think the place to do it is through the member profiles. I would suggest that these could be improved, perhaps to give people more space to share about themselves, their favourite places, etc. Basically, I agree with your sentiment and I think it's important to give people a way to find out more about the people actually writing the guides.
Would love to hear from the others what they think about this.
