Is this for you?

Just now, I did a quick Google search with my laptop. Lots of info came up that might be helpful.

When you search for "is amtrak wheelchair accessible"using your computer you should get quite a few links.

One link mentions a 15 percent discount!

Happy New Year and good luck.

I gather that you are not getting off and visiting these places on the list- just passing through on the train. So the journey is the point, except for the time in NOLA. Amtrak is not the same as trains in Europe or many other places. My husband could not stand the trip from Miami to Baltimore because the roughness of the ride kept him from sleeping so we got off early (in Richmond) and rented a car and drove the rest of the way home. Trains are often late - My mom took the train to Florida (from Baltimore) and arrived half a day late. Also the food is not gormet.

I haven't been to NOLA since Katrina, so I don't really know wheelchair accessible sites, because Iwas still mostly walking then

Hi
Getting off in the major spots where I have layovers but the smaller stations no. DC is a major station because they switch engines from electric to diesel and it is a meal stop. I am going down in coach but coming back in the bedroom. Theu have made a number of changes to the dinning car and average 2 to 4 hours late but I was 7 hours late back in June.

The trip has been slightly different now I use a powerchair, fortunately my chair can maneuver most of the train, tightlybut doable!:)

I got the idea that you were planning a trip for a group for some insane reason. I have mostly used a mobility scooter since 2011, but I now have a power chair which is different. I can turn in a circle on my back wheels, but the chair is much wider than my scooter which is only 22" wide. But the scooter has a wider turning radius. I can still walk, but since 2022 I have to have something very sturdy to hold onto with both hands and I wear orthotics on both feet. The chair is too heavy for my husband to lift and put in the car so I still use the scooter when out of the house. He is 88 and I am 87

I am sorry not to be more help.
