I started a list using just my favorites from the photos that my dad and I took. I realized after I was well into it that the square format was not kind to some of the photos, and that no one could expand the photos to see the details. And the list has gotten a little out of hand, so I stopped. But I think that there is something on this list that everyone has seen, and I doubt that anyone has seen more than about 1/8th of the things listed.

Do I even dare to say...not even close to be 1/8...I got 3....
Fun memories but I've only been to 92 of them. Loved the photo of the Tarasque in Tarascon. Such a fearsome beast . . .
3 is better than none and gives you a lot of places to think about.
And 92- that's almost 1/4th. So you beat the database.

I may have been to some others. It's been a long time since we lived back east. If I couldn't remember for sure, I didn't click on them. We like to explore where we are living and we've lived a few places. I notice you've been to Haiti. That's a bit rare these days. It's so beautiful but since the earthquake, it's been difficult there. Not much of the pledged relief money ever arrived.
Not being able to remember for sure is my problem too. That's why I was using my photos. If I took a photo there (or my dad did or someone took a photo of me there) then I was pretty sure I had been there.
Yes we went to Haiti on a cruise - but I don't think it really 'counts' as it was a remote peninsula and not at all like the rest of the country (as least I gather as much).
My husband and my 2nd daughter have been there. My husband flew in (Navy plane) from Gitmo during the Cuban missile crisis c 1961 - the idea was to give Haiti some tourism aid or something. He said they had to clear the runway off before they could land and they had to refuel somewhere nearby because the planes were not able to make the round trip without refueling.
My 2nd daughter is a pilot for AA an she was on the planes that flew in after the 1994 embargo. But she did not get out of the area of the airplane - she only got out to do the walk-around.

Definitely better with your own photos - but, you're right, the square format isn't great.

Too many places in the States still to visit!
Some of the photos are old ones - the photo of Morning Glory pool in Yellowstone in current photos is quite different from mine from 1948.
The US is a big place. I have not visited Las Vegas, or the parks in Utah, and there are two states I have not visited - Oregon and North Dakota. And some places (Iowa, Oklahoma) that I have mostly just driven through.
Only 36 for me.

That's true and I do have a lot of places on my to-go list!
