Hello, my name is Rim and I'm planning a trip to the United States by myself. I've never travelled before so this is a little bit scary. I'm from Tunisia and we don't have a direct flight to the U.S, I think you have to go to Europe then go to the U.S. My question is, If I'm going to go to a European airport, do I need a European tourist visa as well?
Thank you

Yes. Tunisian citizens must get a Schengen Transit visa to transit through any Schengen country even if they do not go 'landside' (that is, they do not need to collect their bags and/or check in for the second flight).
Schengen countries shown here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_Area
You must apply for the visa from the Schengen country the airport is in.
You might find it easier to transit through a non-Schengen country if you take both flights with the same airline and they will transfer your bags so you do not need to go landside to collect your bags and/or check in. For example, the UK and Turkey do not require Tunisian citizens to get a transit visa if they do not go landside:

Tunisian citizens must get a visa to enter the US. Get that visa....and the transit visa if you need one....before you book any flights. Visas can take quite a while to sort out.
