Hi everyone,

I am landing in Bogota (Colombia) and flying out of Lima (Peru). My plan is to get to Leticia and grab the boat to Manaus (Amazonas), then find my way to Peru.
There is a border town called Inapari, which seems to be close enough from Rio Branco (Acre) and Porto Velho (Rondonia). I am finding a bus route on Rome2Rio but I know this website isn't always the most reliable and wanted to check in any one has done this route before, or has done a similar itinerary to recommend instead ?

I will be in South America for 2 months in total, and would like to avoid flying as much as possible (I know I will have to fly from Bogota to Leticia and would like for it to be my only internal flight.)

Because I will already have spent 5 days on the boat from Leticia to Manaus, ideally I would prefer faster travel by bus to leave Manaus and get to Peru, but as I have never been to that state I'm not sure what are my options!

I appreciate any help or advice, thanks a lot and safe travels to you all x

Hi. I only know that, very close to Leticia, there are 2 Peruvian villages: Santa Rosa and Islandia.

Then I also know that the most famous Peruvian Amazon cities are Puerto Maldonado and Iquitos. But dont know about transport among those cities.

Good luck!
