Wetherspoon or pubs are alternative places but their choice of food is limited to mostly fries, fish, and beef.
Not so much. Wetherspoon also do pizzas, curries, chicken, breakfasts, salads, desserts, etc.

One of the reasons we chose Wetherspoon's was that they had lamb. I try to eat it when we're in Europe because it's so hard to find here at home. We've only been to a couple of them but they had pretty diverse menus, certainly more than most American restaurants in the same price range.

Here are some popular places to eat in London across different cuisines and price ranges:
1. Borough Market: A vibrant food market with numerous stalls offering fresh produce, street food, and international cuisine.
2. Dishoom: A popular Indian restaurant known for its delicious and authentic dishes inspired by the Bombay Irani cafes.
3. Hawksmoor: Renowned for its top-quality steaks and classic British dishes, Hawksmoor is a favorite among meat lovers.
4. Padella: A small Italian restaurant famous for its freshly made pasta dishes, often with long queues but worth the wait.
5. The Wolseley: Located in a grand art deco building, this brasserie offers a menu featuring European and British classics, including afternoon tea.
Check the availability and opening hours of the restaurants before visiting, as they may vary. Making reservations in advance is also advisable, especially for popular and high-end establishments. London's food scene constantly evolves, so don't hesitate to explore and discover new culinary experiences during your visit.
