Two logouts on my main machine, two days after each other, and 5-7 days for the other one.
I'm starting to think there must be some kind of internal hash clash evicting us...

I'm a complete knob when it comes to tech stuff but will just mention a recent log-out issue for some of us on a different travel forum. It was determined that it was happening when using their internal search function; they must have found the bug 'cause it hasn't happened to me again for a week or so.
Doesn't mean that it's the problem here but, well, curious that similar being reported on this site as was happening on the other around the same time frame.
Hey all, I have noticed this thread and will try to work it out in more detail. Just very busy with other stuff at the moment.
My only theory.. I made some changes to the setup for the blogs. Maybe somehow visiting one of the blogs is killing the long lived session?
I don't often view blogs, so I think that excludes it as a cause for me.

I thought the same, and had nearly posted as such - but then I realized that I quite frequently click through to the blogs of potential spammers to help me make the determination on whether to flag or not. Is that not something you do?
(Either way, I'm going to try to consciously note now when I visit a blog, to see if any correlation shows up.)
I haven't looked any blogs but....
...I've been away so logged in on my tablet. I stayed logged in there for 2 days with no problems. I'm now home and I've been logged out on my main machine (last logged in about 4 days ago). I always tick the 'keep me logged in' box.
Is this an issue related to logging in on more than one device? Perhps it's not possible to 'keep me logged in' on 2 devices?

No, I can't say that I have noticed potential spammers often having much site history.

I didn't click one of this blogs, but I was logged out here again today.
And normally I'm using only one device. Only if I am on a trip I use a second one. But I have been locked out anyway.

There's nothing about the session handling that would restrict the number of devices you can be logged in on. I don't think this is the issue.
I had a look into it and found the likely culprit. A change I made a good 8 months ago actually, but I think it just started to become a problem more recently as time went on.
If you had checked the box to stay logged in it was really only remembering you for a day. If you visited the site again within the day it would push it out another day, so it could still feel like you were kept logged in for multiple days. That timespan should have been more like 6 months (depends a bit on your browser).
One important thing to note - if you are using the Google Signin option, then the option to remember you is not checked. You actually have to check that box and log in with username and password. So maybe that also was/is catching some people out?
Let me know if, after logging back in, you are still finding this problem is happening.
