A big welcome to any new members coming across from Travbuddy.
We aspire to be a friendly and welcoming community. Personally, I see the community as this site's core feature. As such we are highly intolerant of spam and anti-social behavior. If this sounds like a group you could enjoy being part of, then we will be very glad to have you around! 
I'd like to open the discussion to the possibility of a transfer of content. I did this for Virtual Tourist and for Travelpod after that.
If you are interested in having your content moved across (as best I can), then please let me know in this thread. This will not only give me an idea of how many people will benefit from it, but it will also act as a way of notifying you when the import script is done.
Time is pretty limited to get this import up and running. I hope I can manage it but I can't guarantee anything.
Also, regardless of the status of an import, it would be prudent to use the backup/download option provided by TB.

I have all the trust in the world in your programming skills after last year's happenings.
However, I prefer not to transfer everything at once, but sort it out myself step by step. The ex VT stuff I have here is messy enough
Some of my blogs have been posted on both sites anyway. Many reviews are VT material, i.e. already here. And experience has taught me to pre-write texts in Word files on my own computer, so I have at least 95 percent safe and sound.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Peter! As a former VT member I joined TP and TB after VT shut down, but found it easier to post content on TB. Bummer now.
Thank you for the kind offer for moving content from TB to TP. I am wondering what kind of format the moved content would have, though. If it's like the VT stuff (which I think it probably will), then it wouldn't really be useful as I have all of that saved on PC (actually, I pre-write the text and select the pictures before posting anything anywhere).
