360 (VR) photos/videos

Hey all, I am starting digging into the 360 degrees world for taking pictures of my travels and would like to know if someone has suggestions for good devices - best practices. The field is pretty new and many people don't know much about it (me included), but I think it is really promising. I am using an Insta 360 right now.
What do you think? What is your experience?
And what about VR? Any suggestions for recording travels in VR?

For VR you have to remember that it can only be played back on devices with VR capabilities. So if you plan on sharing your footage most people will not be able to view it
