You might also think about 'Travelling safely as a solo female' (or similar title). I (being a solo female traveller myself) wrote an article about that for VT (and one about cathedrals, and one about unusual museums). :-)

Oh no. Not traveling safely solo and cheap travel.
Safety and budget are things eminently variable in time places and from one person to another.
What is dark tourism btw ?

Wo, there is a big difference between a generic 'travelling safely' and 'travelling as a solo female'. You can believe me because I'm female and you're not! :-)
'Dark tourism' is a term used for specifically visiting sites which are associated with death & suffering.

Ah. I was in Auschwitz this Thursday.
Quite dark indeed.
Much worse than Dachau.
