Moderators per Forum

Um... sorry if I wasn't allowed to post in this thread, but I was wondering if it's possible to show on the main forums page who the relevant mods of each section are. Just a link to the mod's profile would be useful. Members can know who to contact if they have a query about a specific forum - easier on everyone I guess, since I'm assuming not everyone checks System Talk and/or this thread. Don't know whether that's feasible for TP?

Wow, I never knew there was such a thing - is it supposed to stop people from bumping old threads?

Not a bad idea summer, think it's been mentioned before too so definitely warrants some further investigation. I think the reason we've held off on this is more of a space and clutter issue than anything else. Having said that, Peter and me were just talking about an idea yesterday that I think we'll be going ahead with in the next few months that should hopefully alleviate some of the clutter yet allow for more forum related things like this to be included on the page. So, yes, I think it will be implemented but it might take a while as we can't start on that project till the one we're working on now is completed

Nice little notification regarding 3 months eh? It's about a year old I think and not strange that you wouldn't have noticed it. It's generally not regular members that re-open older threads! It did remind me to clean up this thread straightaway to make it more clear who is actually currently a moderator right now rather than scrolling all the way down the page. Thanks!

Um...forgive me if I am wrong and at the risk of sounding like a one woman crusade for Africa recently, but.. why doesn't the Africa and Middle East forum have it's own moderator??
Just wondered.

I suspect it's a combination of being one of the most quiet forums around (thus not really needing a dedicated moderator; Sam and Peter can keep an eye on it by themselves pretty well), and not being frequented by any of the people Sam & Peter felt would be a good moderator when they last went looking for a new moderator.
