Tours & campground in Maun

Hi all,
I am soon going to be off for 3 months through southern and East Africa, starting in Maun, Botswana. Has anyone been there recently and can you recommend a campground? I arrive at the airport latish so either a campsite or budget accommodation would be great! If you have good rec for safari companies out of Maun, that too much appreciated.

I probably spend more time in Maun than anyone else on the forum, since I live a few hours away. In fact I'll be off there again on Tuesday.
If you are arriving late the Sedia Hotel is not far from the airport. The hotel itself is up by the road, but it is set on a large property that runs down to the Thamalakane River. The hotel has a nice campsite down on the riverbank, and the camp stands have lights, so you can pitch a tent after dark without difficulty. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the campsite and quite invisible and inaudible, but campers can, of course, wander up and use the outdoor restaurant, bar and swimming pool. If you are arriving in Maun late you won't have had the chance to go shopping.

Maun is not a big place and most of the aircraft movements at the airport are bush planes coming and going - think of Cessna Caravans. So there isn't a rank of taxis outside even in the middle of the day. The drivers know when the big planes are due and will turn up when they think there might be some business. But there are plenty of taxis in Maun regardless, and the airport is right in town.
When you come through the arrivals side of the terminal there is an information booth right in front of you, and whoever is manning it will be able to help with finding a taxi. If it is unmanned any of the local bystanders or security people will help. If you need cash for a taxi there is a Standard Chartered ATM just across the street from the terminal.

Maun has a quirky, friendly, small-town frontier feel to it, and the locals are used to helping hapless tourists so don't be afraid to ask people.
