Hello from Uk.
My company have informed me I may need to go USA on business next year. Probably about 4 times over the next 2 years for approx 2-3 weeks at a time.
I have a criminal record on my ARCO Uk police report.
caution for burglary and theft-broke into a shed 25 years ago
Cation for property damage-Burst a water pipe 23 years ago
Caution for taking a car without consent 28 years ago
Caution for theft-stole a charity box 23 years ago
Affray-drunk/ shouting in a street 23 years ago
ABH-had a fight, crown court, community order £2000 fine..
What’s my chances of getting a waiver of inadmissible for a USA visa? Will it be a dead cert no?
Married, 3 kids, good job..
thanks in advance…

>What’s my chances of getting a waiver of inadmissible for a USA visa?
Waivers of ineligibility (not inadmissibility) are only needed for those who have committed a 'crime involving moral turpitude' (CIMT), a US-specific legal concept. Imo it's probable that your theft offences and..possibly..the ABH..will be considered CIMT.
https://unlock.org.uk/advice/identifying-whether-my-offence-is-a-crime-involving-moral-turpitude-cimt/
No-one here or anywhere else can tell you for certain whether you'll be recommended for a waiver. That decision is made by the interviewing officer based on all the details of each individual's crimes and circumstances, both past and present. He/she works within US law plus internal regulations and guidelines and in consultation with senior officers if necessary.
>Will it be a dead cert no?
Imo (from almost 2 decades of answering similar questions on this and other forums....and assuming everything else is ok...you have a good chance of being recommended for a waiver. Your offences are all long, long ago and...I assume.. since then you have been a responsible, law-abiding citizen.
If a waiver is recommended it is almost always granted but processing times are long. At the moment it's taking up to 9 months to process waivers (done in the US, not at embassies) so do make sure your employer knows that's a possibility.

I was hoping you would reply as seen you on various posts.
that’s great information, thanks you for your time👍.
I have also sent deletion forms to ARCO to see if they would remove some of the cautions from my record. I thought this might help my case when going to the embassy(Should receive a decision back next week) however I’ve now realised I will now need a police certificate as if they do delete anything I’m guessing it will come up as no live trace and the embassy will want to know what it was.
I will continue to feedback my journey for anyone that’s interested in here👍

Yes, they will.
You'll need an ACRO:
https://www.acro.police.uk/s/acro-services/police-certificates
and it's also sensible to make a Subject Access Request (free) at the same time:
https://www.acro.police.uk/s/acro-services/subject-access
The SAR showa all the information held about you on the PNC.
I always advise people to apply for their ACRO/SAR at the same time as they apply for the visa. There's no point in going to the visa interview without them.
>I will continue to feedback my journey for anyone that’s interested in here
Please do. It's really helpful for others. :-)

Hi all,
Just an update on my journey so far….
So I applied to have some cautions deleted from my Record and it worked, they removed all the cautions👊. This makes the SAR look better for my interview.
I’ve applied for a visa and was honest about my previous convictions. The next date for a face to face in London is in May, so I changed to Dublin and they have availability from next week👍..
I will let you know how it goes🤞

Your first post implied you were in the UK. Perhaps you're based in N Ireland?
Afaik, if you're in the UK you should apply for a US visa at the US London Embassy or the Belfast Consulate:
https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/tourism-visitor/where-to-apply/| (< ERROR: the link title is too long!)
The Dublin Embassy will only courier documents & passports within the island of Ireland:
>Passports and other documentation submitted to the Embassy are returned via our contracted courier and only within Ireland. We cannot return documentation outside of Ireland, including to Great Britain.

Ok.
Are you 100% certain Dublin will courier it to a British mainland DHL depot? If so, the Dublin embassy might be a useful alternative for those needing a quicker appointment.

Yeah so Dublin have appointments from next week and London not till may, that’s what they said yesterday(I applied for the London embassy first then redone the whole application for Dublin)
The DHL depo for collection is also in Dublin, I’ll probably have to go back over for collection I guess..
