The pylgrim way to Santiago is one of the best world treks and you don't have to be catholic to do it. I have a web site with plenty of information, www.caminoasantiago.com, in spanish, english and dutch, and I will be happy to help you with any special request you have, taking in account that I travel around the world most of the year, so sometimes will take a while to answer your request.

I stayed in "la casa de colores" in Montefrio, which is a small town located near Granada (about 35 minutes away). The scenery from this hotel is just breathtaking. The proprietors of the hotel, Mandy and Scott, originally from Scotland, really went out of their way to ensure my holiday was one of the most relaxing ones I've been on. My 2 year child was happy to play in the children's play area and that's another of the benefits - it's a really child friendly place to stay in.

The meals are wonderful and if I didn't feel like anything on the menu, it was no problem at all for it to be changed to my needs. Mandy and Scott really bent over backwards for me and I felt that nothing was too much trouble.

All in all, I had a lovely relaxing holiday, lazing by the pool, sitting in the bar or just sitting gazing at the views. The town of Montefrio is in walking distance but, really, I rarely felt the need to leave the hotel as it was so lovely.
