As the year draws to a close, we're throwing an end of year photo competition to decide on the best travel photo from 2013.

Submit up to three of your best photos taken in 2013 for a chance to win one of these excellent prizes:

Judge's Prize:

A $500 Viator voucher for the travel experience of your choice. Choose from over 10,000 tours and activities in over 500 destinations.

People's Choice Prize:

An amazing 160x120 cm photo display from ixxi valued at €100. Using your own photos, ixxi will provide an enlargement or collage with their unique photo system.

One of our judges, Cam Cope, will also award a copy of his beautiful book Picture 1000 Words for the photo that best tells a story. The soft cover book, valued at $39.80, explores travel photography and the creative story telling that images inspire. Check here for more info on this inspiring project.

Terms

Anyone can enter. Travellerspoint staff are not allowed to win.

For every photo you enter, you must:

• have a high resolution version (4 megapixels or higher)
• own the copyright
• have been taken this year

You are allowed to enter photos you have uploaded to Travellerspoint before, even if they haven't been featured. The moderators will take another look at any photo tagged for the competition.

By entering your photo, you're also giving Travellerspoint a non-transferable, non-revocable right to use it to promote Travellerspoint. You will still own the copyright, and full credit will be given to you for the photo.

Nomination

You can nominate up to three photos. Only those featured by our photo moderators will be selected. If you'd like to nominate a photo that you uploaded to Travellerspoint previously, but that wasn't featured, you can still nominate it. The moderators will take another look at any photo tagged for the competition. Be sure to select a location for your photo, as this is necessary for it to be featured.

If you're nominating a new photo:

• Go to your photo upload page and upload your photos as per usual.
• Under Tags, add the following tag: bestof2013.
• If you have tagged your photo correctly, it will appear on this page.

If you want to nominate a photo that you have already uploaded to Travellerspoint:

• Go to your private photo gallery.
• Tick the "select" box under the photos you want to nominate. Once you've selected all the photos you'd like to nominate, click "Edit Selected" at the bottom of the page.
• Under Tags, add the following tag: bestof2013.
• If you have tagged your photo correctly, it will appear on this page.

Featured nominated photos will appear on this page.

Voting

Entrants will be in the running for a People's Choice Prize decided by popular vote and the prestigious Judge's Prize, presided over by our esteemed panel: travel writers and photographers Terence Carter and Lara Dunston from Grantourismo; documentary and travel photographer Cam Cope; and ixxi designer and co-founder Roel Vaessen.

Voting for the People's Choice Prize is now open and closes on 10 December.

The winners will be announced in the December newsletter, as well as on the Travellerspoint blog.
