Tochigi-ken

Introduction

Tochigi-ken is a prefecture in Kantō on the main island Honshu.

Nikko is well known for its shrines and nature (UNESCO World Heritage).
Nasu is also an area in the mountains that is still used as a retreat for the Royal Family.
Utsunomiya is the region's capital and largest city.
Mashiko is known globally for its Pottery culture.
Tochigi is known for its Edo culture and merchant buildings from the Edo period.
Ashikaga is known for its rich history and famous flower park.
