Airport Weeze (NRN) is sometimes refered to as Düsseldorf Airport, or as Airport Niederrhein and offers quite a few budget flights. Ryanair is the main airline flying from this airport and has many flights to European destinations.

For more information about other airports throughout the world, also see the list of airports.

Getting there and away

By Car

From Cologne/Düsseldorf on the A57 take the exit for Uedem/Weeze, then follow the airport signs. From The Ruhrgebiet take the A40 or A42 on the A57 direction Nijmegen take the exit for Uedem/Weeze (4), then follow the airport signs.

From Eindhoven and Venlo you can take the A67, the A73 and A77 (which become the A57 in Germany) take the exit for Goch/Weeze (3) then follow the airport signs. When you come from further north in the Netherlands, like Nijmegen or Arnhem, you can take the A73 south, and then the A73, A77 take the exit for Goch/Weeze (3), then follow the airport signs.

By Public Transport

Getting to and from the airport with public transport is not the ideal way to go. As there is no train station at the airport, you need to get to Weeze, from where you can take an onward train to many places in Germany. From the station in Weeze you can get to bigger places like Kleve or Krefeld. There are direct bus connections to bigger places, as well as the Netherlands. Here you can find information about the possibilities to reach the airport. The best option for the Netherlands is by taking the hourly shuttle service to Nijmegen from where trains go frequently to places like Utrecht and Amsterdam.

Getting around

At Airport Weeze there is only one Terminal so getting around is not very hard. In the late afternoon it can get busy at the security checkpoint, as there are multiple flights leaving around the same time.
