The Wilmette Bahá'í House of Worship is a wonderful building and is one of the older temples The site was bought in 1912 and construction began on the temple in 1921 although no completed until 1953. The principle architect was Louis Bourgeois although he did not design the interior. That was done by Alfred Shaw. The exterior features nine stunning towers that feature symbols of several world religions. It is 138 feet tall (42 m) and features an amazing dome. The inside and outside is craved and the architecture is stunning. The temple is located in Wilmette, a suburb north of Chicago at 100 Linden Ave, phone 847-853-2300. Admission is free and the fall is open daily 6 am to 10 pm.

It is considered the Mother Temple of Africa of the Baha'i Faith. The temple is on the edges of Kampala located on Kikaya Hill. The building was designed by Charles Mason Remey who gave it the green dome that was constructed from mosaic tiles made in Italy. The lower tiles are from Belgium. and the colored glass in the wall panels came all the way from Germany. The temple grounds all include a great garden, house of worship and a guest house.

Australia

This Baha'i Temple was initially designed by Charles Mason Remey but later given to John Brogan to complete. The stunning high dome can be easily seen from Sydney's northern beaches and gives the building a since of purpose. The gardens feature native wildlife and are a nice place to stroll. The building site also includes a visitor's centre, bookshop, picnic area and hostel. This temple serves as the Mother Temple of Australia.

Considered the Mother Temple of Europe this Baha'i temple is located in a suburb of Frankfurt. Located at the foot of the Taunus Mountains this temple has a stunning setting. The templed was designed by Teuto Rocholl and is made of steel, aluminum and glass. The dome is made up of 540 diamond shaped windows which gives the dome an visual lightness. It also allows sunlight to enter the structure. The design allows for outstanding acoustics and on occasions the choir will step on the edges of the dome and sing while the audience is in the center.

Although founded in Persia there is no temple in Iran. The temple has been designed and location has been picked but due to the current political situation in Iran the temple cannot be built. Maybe in the future this will change.
