Tuileries Gardens - You see everything here by Beausoleil
This is my favorite place in Paris. There are lots of tourists but there are just as many Parisians. It's a great shortcut with fountains, art, chairs, ducks and even horses when the helpful police come through.

This is my favorite place in Paris. There are lots of tourists but there are just as many Parisians. It's a great shortcut with fountains, art, chairs, ducks and even horses when the helpful police come through.
Pyramid du Louvre and visitors by Beausoleil
This is the courtyard where the Pei Pyramid is found along with several fountains and always lots of tourists. It is kind of a crossroads of the world and always busy.
Le Kiosque des noctambules in Place Colette , , , a very fun Metro entrance along with entertainment by Beausoleil
Le Kiosque des noctambules is a very odd-looking Metro entrance in a very fun square in Paris. There is nearly always something going on here. The Le Nemours cafe is here and there is an entrance to the Palais Royal gardens.

Jardin du Palais Royal - the Buren Columns - with tourists by Beausoleil
The wonderful Buren Columns that everyone loves to pose on or near. The most fun to watch are small children and beautiful brides. On this day there was a very formal luncheon going on in the upstairs of the building in the background.

Peaceful gardens in tourist central Paris. A good place to relax and forget the crowds. Grab a chair by the fountain and read a book for a while. Watch people and their pets wander through.
Le Grand Colbert Brasserie by Beausoleil
An absolutely marvelous brasserie near the Galerie Vivienne and the Bibliotheque Nationale de France. The food is good and the service is even better. It is a beautiful restaurant with reasonably priced specials and a truly caring staff.

An absolutely marvelous brasserie near the Galerie Vivienne and the Bibliotheque Nationale de France. The food is good and the service is even better. It is a beautiful restaurant with reasonably priced specials and a truly caring staff.

Claude et Paloma jouant à la balle by Françoise Gilot by Beausoleil
One of my favorite Picasso paintings is of a child playing with a truck so I was delighted to see this painting by Picasso's partner of 10 years, Françoise Gilot, of their two children playing with a ball. The Picasso Museum in Paris has a small but very nice collection of Gilot's paintings. The Picasso Museum is a treasure. It covers all his oeuvres and periods and the building is a marvelous old Paris Hotel Particular with a lovely garden. There are Picasso museums in various parts of France and I love the all, but this one has the largest collection and covers the most periods of his life. My next favorite is the one in Antibes because it is right on the ocean and has a spectacular view although the collection is rather small.
