The Levante has hit (strong wind)

Community Highlights Photography The Levante has hit (strong wind)

The levant wind has hit the Costa del sol. It is an easterly wind that blows in the western Mediterranean Sea and southern France, an example of mountain-gap wind. The strong winds blew all night whipping up the sea making it really rough and flooding most of the beaches around here. Lucy loved it as her ears flapped in the breeze!

Whilst it was very windy it was still sunny so we took a nice drive up in to the mountains. Our route took us from Manilva up to Casares (hill top town) then on to Gaucin (another hill top town) then back down through the orange and mango groves to the coast and Algeciras. We had lunch at a very local restaurant- on looking at the menu we didn’t recognise one word so agreed with the bar man to fish and calamari.

Enjoy the scenery with us!
