The Rodin Museum in Paris - The Burghers of Calais by Beausoleil
The Rodin is one of our favorite museums in Paris. The museum is in a lovely old building; the collection is spectacular; the attached gardens are a marvel and there is a lovely tea room in the garden so it's the perfect place to spend a leisurely morning or afternoon. There are several paintings by Van Gogh on exhibit and some of the work of Camille Claudel.

La Terre et la Lune by Auguste Rodin by Beausoleil
Usually called simply the Grand Palais, it is a large historic site, exhibition hall and museum complex that usually has multiple exhibits. We were there for "La Lune" that explored the earth's moon. It included art through the ages and exhibits from various moon explorations. The web site states: "The 50-year anniversary of the first human step on the Moon is an opportunity to study, present and celebrate the long history that links humans with this familiar celestial body, through the artworks and objects that embody the countless visions and emotions it has inspired. This five-part exhibition is a journey to the Moon, through dimensions both real and imaginary. Each stage takes visitors on a voyage through time, revealing artistic creations from Antiquity to the modern day, produced mainly in Europe but also by African, Arab and Far Eastern civilisations."
Gardens at the Rodin Museum by Beausoleil
The Musée Rodin in Paris opened in 1919 and is primarily dedicated to the works of the French sculptor Auguste Rodin. It has two sites: the Hôtel Biron and surrounding grounds in central Paris that constitute the Rodin Museum and Gardens, and another site at the Villa des Brillants in Meudon where he lived. You can get a twin ticket to the Musée d'Orsay and the Paris Rodin if you can do two museums in one day. You used to be able to visit the gardens for 4 euros but I haven't been able to find that option on their web site lately. It may be worth asking as there is a lovely tea room in the garden and quite a few marvelous sculptures in addition to the fountain and flowers.
