Tuileries Gardens - You see everything here by Beausoleil
This is my favorite place in Paris. There are lots of tourists but there are just as many Parisians. It's a great shortcut with fountains, art, chairs, ducks and even horses when the helpful police come through.

Pyramid du Louvre and visitors by Beausoleil
This is the courtyard where the Pei Pyramid is found along with several fountains and always lots of tourists. It is kind of a crossroads of the world and always busy.
Café on Rue de l'Échelle from the bus - note matching flowers and bicycles (only in Paris . . . ) by Beausoleil
We rode buses a lot on our last trip and I had fun taking photos out of bus windows. You get a mini-tour of Paris if you go far enough because they wander all over town. This was fun because the fake flowers matched the very useful bicycles beneath them.

The Luxembourg Gardens with the Pantheon in the distance by Beausoleil
The Luxembourg Gardens were inspired by the Boboli Gardens in Florence and were created at the request of Queen Marie de Medici in 1612. The gardens are split into French gardens and English gardens. Between the two, lies a geometric forest and a large pond where little boats are rented for children to sail. There is also an orchard with a variety of old and forgotten apples, an apiary for you to learn about bee-keeping and greenhouses with a collection of breathtaking orchids and a rose garden. The garden has 106 statues spread throughout the park, the beautiful Medici fountain, a good place for proposals, the Orangerie and the Pavillon Davioud with a small bee museum next to the apiary. There are pony rides on weekends and often concerts at the kiosk by the restaurant. There are lots of chairs available and Parisians love to bring their books and sit in the sun and read.

Auberge Ravoux in Auvers-sur-Oise by Beausoleil
We were staying in nearby Maffliers and took a Sunday to visit Auvers-sur-Oise and explore the Van Gogh heritage. Unfortunately, it was during the COVID shutdown so we saw a lot but we didn't get into the closed Van Gogh Center. Good excuse for another trip someday.
