Tuileries Gardens - You see everything here by Beausoleil
This is my favorite place in Paris. There are lots of tourists but there are just as many Parisians. It's a great shortcut with fountains, art, chairs, ducks and even horses when the helpful police come through.

Pyramid du Louvre and visitors by Beausoleil
This is the courtyard where the Pei Pyramid is found along with several fountains and always lots of tourists. It is kind of a crossroads of the world and always busy.
Jardin du Palais Royal - the Buren Columns - with tourists by Beausoleil
The wonderful Buren Columns that everyone loves to pose on or near. The most fun to watch are small children and beautiful brides. On this day there was a very formal luncheon going on in the upstairs of the building in the background.

Peaceful gardens in tourist central Paris. A good place to relax and forget the crowds. Grab a chair by the fountain and read a book for a while. Watch people and their pets wander through.
Busker outside St. Pierre de Montmartre by Beausoleil
You see buskers all over Paris. This fellow was a violinist near Place du Tertre and he was quite good.

Eiffel Tower Mania at Place du Trocadéro by Beausoleil
We had lunch on the Place du Trocadéro and then walked over to see the Eiffel Tower. You pass a lot of tourists, tourist shops, buskers and various sellers of souvenirs before you get to the tower but it's all great fun. It may be the perfect place for photos and certainly for selfies if you take those.

Buskers on the Pont St. Louis by Beausoleil
There are nearly always buskers of some sort here as it is tourist central. Some people may not like it but we think it's fun. I hope they make a living doing something else though. With Notre Dame in the background, you can't go wrong. We even saw a fellow once that had wheeled a real piano onto the bridge. His piano tuner must love him.

The ferry landing at Bowness on Windermere - feeding swans by Beausoleil
The swans here actually beg from the tourists. I've never seen swans beg before. These were very chubby swans . . .

Tourists meeting donkeys in the New Forest by Beausoleil
In the New Forest grazing animals are allowed full access and are often found in the road, by the road and crossing the roads. You will see donkeys, horses, cows and the occasional pig. Drive carefully . . . there are people in the road too.

Honfleur - the Tourist buses have arrived by Beausoleil
There is a huge parking lot near the harbor and Hotel de Ville and the tour buses park there and disgorge hordes who are marched past the Carousel and told what they'll be seeing for the day. We quickly learned not to get in their way.

It's impossible to get a picture by yourself at any of the ancient temples of Angkor.

Arriving early for a chance to capture the sunrise over Angkor Wat is a must...apparently. We got there around 5:30 and by 6 or so this is what the crowd was like.
