Creating excellent videos can spell a difference in marketing your business to potential customers. If you have limited advertising budget, you would want to maximize whatever budget you have. Video marketing is affordable to produce and can be used on social media sites, webpage, and emails. Statistics from Optinmonster reveal that video advertising can deliver 66% more qualified leads per year and 54% increase in brand awareness. Animoto’s Social Video Forecast suggests that 76.5% of marketers and small business owners are getting results with video marketing. If creating videos is not yet a part of your strategy, here are some tips for getting started with video marketing.

Put together a plan

What do you want the video to convey? Do you want to introduce your service? Are you promoting a new product? Are you coming up with a special offer? Whatever it is, you need to make sure that your product or service will make the life of your customer easier. You can also add testimonials from your previous or current customers.

Personalize the video

Include a picture of yourself, your employees, and customers. Video advertising is all about your product or service, so you can consider adding customer testimonials. Show a customer using your product or service. To save yourself from future troubles, have your actors sign a release permitting you to use their names and likeness.

Write a script

First of all, do not ever try to wing your video. It will usually not work. After all, no one knows your business best so you are probably the best person to tell about your product or service. However, if you do not have a talent for writing your own script, you can find a good low-cost scriptwriter.

Find a voice

If you are not comfortable speaking in front of a camera, have someone record the message for you. You can lay it over your chosen visuals.

Choose an appropriate setting

If you own a restaurant business, capture your chef at work in the kitchen. If you are into a service business, have one of your employees come in with their uniforms carrying your logo. Your video will tell something about your business so do present it in an image that you would want your customer to remember.

Keep it short and sweet

For your video to be effective, you need to keep it below 30 seconds. It will be much easier to shoot several slips and combine them later than one long video that you need to edit.
