Hello Julio. You don't say when you are going, the ages of your children or how many are in your family. All of these make a difference. With the Olympics coming up in 2024, rooms are quickly filling up and when there are conferences, other sports events and special shows in town, it can get expensive.

However, if you are going during a normal time, there are lots of budget options. Take your time to look for them and try to stay in the center of Paris because you will save money and time on transportation. We always look for a place in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th arrondissement because you can walk everyplace from there. Check the hotel street address because the postal code tells you the arrondissement. The last two digits are the key. You want postal codes 75001, 75003, 75004, 75005, 75006 or 75007. I highly recommend checking booking.com and using their search engine because you can search by location. If you use the Accomodations search here on TravellersPoint, it takes you to booking.com.

We have a couple favorite hotels you can look at. Our favorite is Hotel De France Quartier Latin in the 5th or Latin Quarter. It's very reasonable and the people who run it are very nice. A little more expensive but not too bad is the Hotel Clement in the 6th or Saint Germain district. It is really pretty with very French decor and the location is perfect, right in the center of Paris. You can walk everyplace from there.

If you need an elevator (lift) or air conditioning, be sure to check the hotel has them because all Paris hotels don't. The two I suggested do have them.

If I can give you any other help, let me know. Enjoy your trip.

For hotel recommendations it helps if you also include an amount on how much you want to spend each night for your "reasonable" rate. My reasonable amount would be the equivalent of around $20 US a night for a start.

There is a section for hotels on this TP forum.

Good luck.

You will find both suggested hotels on the accommodations link given above which I also suggested except I didn't give the actual link. karazyal above gave you the link and I highly recommend it. You can also access it from the TravellersPoint menu.

You can also check any hotel web site to see if they offer a better rate. I always compare them. Often booking.com is the better offer because you can cancel with no charge. Check all your options.

BTW, my ideas of reasonable rates starts around $50 USD a night and in Paris it goes up to $80. It would help if you gave a budget range. Also, be aware quite a few hotels don't offer rooms for more than two or three people although you can book more than one room.

Hello Julio! you may want to check Hotel Le Relais Saint-Honore. It's a charming and reasonably priced hotel located near many popular attractions.

The Hotel Le Relais Saint-Honore is in a good location but if you choose it, go directly to the hotel web site to book. All the "budget" booking sites are more expensive than the hotel itself. However, that being said, the Hotel Le Relais Saint-Honore is not a budget choice. It is almost three time the cost of the Hotel Clement which is actually in a better location.

If $424 a night is within your budget, it is a good choice. Out of my price range though . . .
