You're being scammed. Do not send this person any more money!

The person you believe is your girlfriend does not exist. The person you talked with on the phone is being paid to pretend to be your girlfriend, and does the same for hundreds of others. You will never see 'her', nor get your money back. If you continued, there'd just be an unending string of new reasons which prevent 'her' from coming over, each one costing more money than the ones before.

I'm very sorry.

Look up "romance scam". Here's an example of someone who was clued in and strung the scammer along to find out more on how this all works from the technical side of things. Your 'girlfriend' probably didn't follow this exact script, as there are thousands of different outfits like this, each with their own routine, but you'll probably discover a lot of similarities.

You probably don't believe me. You definitely don't want to believe me, although it's hopeful that you're already questioning what 'she' tells you about the documents.
So, to prove that your 'girlfriend' isn't real, do a reverse image search on any photo you have of 'her':
You can do this on google image search by clicking on the little camera icon that represents “Search by image” and then pasting or uploading each photo you have of 'her', one at time. Then look under the results section entitled, “Pages that include matching images”. You will find they belong to a completely different person, with a different name, from a different location. tineye.com is another website which does the type of reverse image search.

If you confront your 'girlfriend' about this, 'she' will come up with some excuse you will want to believe on why 'she' had to lie about her name and location. Tell 'her' to send you a new photo where 'she' touches 'her' nose with 'her' index finger. 'She' will not be able to do this.

===

Also, since I'm giving you advice you need to hear anyway: stop doom-scrolling. Yes, the world is in a bad place right now, but world war 3 is probably not going to happen anytime soon, and you'll be in a much healthier place if you take a step back from online news for a bit, and focus on the real world right around you.

Things to do:
Go out doing something you enjoy - anything at all, as long as it gets you outside. Visit a theater, the library, a gym, go for a walk in the park or a nature area. Smile at the first person you meet, say hello to the second one. Contact any member of your family or any old friends you think kindly of, tell them you could really stand to see a friendly face right now and ask to meet up. Consider psychological help - it's hard to seek it out, and you probably believe you don't need it - but it couldn't hurt to at least ask about it. Your GP (I hope that's the right term for the local doctor you see for basic things) should be able to refer you if you tell them about your worries and general state of being.

Your lady friend might not have been born female.

Could be a guy that just looks like a female!

Amen to everything Sander has cautioned! This is definitely a scam, and you should cut off ALL communication with this individual immediately. Send no money; give them no account information. Yes, this individual is very likely not even female, and any photos they may have provided are no proof.

Also, since I'm giving you advice you need to hear anyway: stop doom-scrolling.

Right-o. I live in the U.S. and trust me, there's enough insanity going on here without having to go looking for more. Back AWAY from the internet. In addition to the excellent advice Sander has offered up, getting involved with a community effort might also help you to feel better? My husband and I both volunteer at a food shelf/community services organization and it's helping us deal with some of the anxiety over the crazy stuff coming at us daily here. Putting hands to good use beats just sitting about wringing them.

A word about the Covid vaccine: it's proven that you stand a larger chance of dying from COVID than from the vaccine, and a larger chance of suffering long-term effects from the virus without vaccination. Be sure you're getting your information from reputable sources....which would NOT be RFK Jr. and others of his ilk with zero accredited training in infectious diseases.

> can anyone tell me does she need all this

I absolutely can. I am a UK citizen and live in the UK.

YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED. There is, I'm afraid, no other explanation for what your 'girlfriend' has told you.

If your 'girlfriend' is a US citizen she does not need 'immunisations, a health checkup and a covid jab' to visit you in the UK. She doesn't need 3000USD either. All she needs is an ETA (electronic visa waiver, easy to get online from the official site, costs £16 and lasts 2 years).

This US government page proves the UK entry requirements for US citizens:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages/UnitedKingdom.html

Maybe your 'girlfriend' will say she has another cityizenship? I am not aware of any citizenship which requires proof of 3000USD and/or immunisations and/or a health check to enter the UK. NO citizenship needs a Covid vaccination...or a vaccination waiver...to enter the UK.

If you want your 'girlfriend' to live in the UK with you it is you who needs to prove you have the income to support her. Neither she nor you can apply for that type of visa if you've only 'known' each other online. She needs to visit you in the UK at least once...or you need to visit her in the US.

PS Cardiff airport is not 'in civil war'.

And shes also a church loving Christian aswell and doesn't like to take advantage and be a burden on people

You 'know' absolutely nothing about this individual. You've never actually met them. They may not even be female or a citizen of the U.S.

The pictures you have could be of the scammer's girlfriend, sister, friend, etc., and the image of the passport could very easily have been photographically altered. Trust us, this story is just one of many that that those of us who've participated in the travel forums have heard for many years. Every single one of them involves requests to send large sums of money. That is the first and largest red flag. Every single claim they've given you for their 'need' of funds is false. See the links Leics has provided.

Of course they're going to claim to be "a church loving Christian." These types will claim to be anything at all to get at your £££.. They're also playing on your paranoia (WWIII; electric magnetic pulse stuff; imaginary airport civil wars; etc.) and anything else they've discovered about you during your communications over the past year.

Really, I think you know something doesn't smell right or you'd never have asked the question. Long story short? Run. Run while you can.

Unless you have a fear of flying or some medical reason, you could fly to the US and visit in person.
