Hello!
I am wondering if anybody on here has stayed in the Jolly Swagmans backpackers in Sydney? My boyfriend and I are flying to Sydney on a budget in October and have reserved Jollyswagman to stay in for a while when we arrive. We are livley and wondering if it is a good livley hostel good for meeting people and going out? 
the website seems to say it is but a lot of reviews seem to say it's quiet. Any advice from anyone who has stayed there would be great thanks!
Hostel information
We stayed there in 2015. There were quite a few people who were there on a WHV, so staying longer than usual. I definitely wouldn't call it a party hostel, but the communal areas were quite sociable, and there were a few group trips out to bars etc. One evening a week they have a Sausage BBQ, which encourages everyone to get together. I would say that if you make an effort to mix with people, the opportunity is there.
Which site did you book it from? The reviews are usually a good indication of what to expect. ?
Thanks for the info we just booked it through booking.com. It's just that the website makes it look really livley and fun but some of the reviews don't echo that ?
