Projects
Welcome to Project Central. Projects are collaborative efforts designed to generate content in new areas or areas that are underdeveloped. They will usually be either guide wide or article specific. See below for examples of both varieties.
Watch this space for the latest projects that we're inviting you to work on. New projects will be posted regularly, so a great way to be updated when a new one is added is to subscribe to this page by adding it to your watchlist.
Guide wide projects
These are projects for everyone. If you can string together a couple sentences, you can contribute to guide wide projects.
- Events and festivals in #country# or #city# - Start an article about the most popular events and festivals in a country or city you've visited or live in. Project introduced February 16, 2009.
- Family travel #city# - Start an article for parents looking to visit a city with their kids. Project introduced February 16, 2009.
- Eating out in #city# - Help travellers find the best places to eat. Project introduced February 16, 2009.
- Language phrasebooks - Help travellers by providing a phrasebook for the local language. Project introduced 7th July, 2008
- Project:100 Most Popular Cities - The most popular cities around the world, based on Travellerspoint bookings over the past year. These are high priority articles because a lot of people will be using/seeing them. Project introduced December 4, 2008.
Article specific projects
These are very specific projects with a narrow focus. They might be used when an article is very close to being featured, or they can be used to encourage development on articles that really ought to be much more developed than they are.
